The Monsoon on the East-Coast...

The North-east monsoon is in full swing on the east coast of Malaya. Most areas and towns on the east coast states of the Pahang, Terengganu and Kelantan are affected by the monsoon and flooded. From the news it look like the flood this year is very bad indeed. I call my sister there and was told that the water-level at her home at Bukit Setongkol is above the knee level. She had move to live for the time being at one of her daughter's house nearby. Well during this period of the year it often floods but this year it worse than before. From what I saw on the TV and the posting on Facebook it look like the authority was not prepared with the large home that was flooded and folks had to be excavated to relief centre. Folks who were move to the relief centre were disappointed and unhappy with the kind of help during such emergency. It is an annual occurrence and the authority should by now be professional in such a relief programme but it look like it was not so. I do hope they learn from these experiences and do a better job the next time. Back in Ampang Jaya, Selangor the weather have been wet too and it does kept the temperature down. It has been raining and drizzling all throughout the day and night and so far there's no news of flooding and I do hope it stay that way.

Have a nice day anyway.
